I joined Tess & Ad at the lovely Engine Shed in Wetherby last Saturday, for their Spring wedding and my first of the year. It was lovely day for so early in the season; cool but bright enough and thankfully dry. I arrived at the venue before the ceremony to capture the guests arriving and Adam waiting patiently... The eight(!) Bridesmaids/Flower Girls then arrived, swiftly followed the Tessa and her Dad in a fabulous camper van. Her hair was done by Jennie at Horsforth Hair Lounge and her make up was by Jess at Faces. The camper was provided by Bronte Camper Hire.
The ceremony was lovely... a real family affair with Tess & Adam's three children joining them and their eldest Sam doing a fine job of his best man duties. There were two lovely readings and, whilst they signed the register, one of the bridesmaids entertained their guest with her beautiful singing.
After the ceremony, we did some group/family photos, most of which were photobombed by their youngest, Jack! We also managed to squeeze in a bit of time to make some images of just the two of them, , which was great fun, as you can see below!
Tessa and Adam then cut their absolutely gorgeous cake, made by Nikita Rookledge, and it was on to the speeches, which were brilliantly introduced by their daughter Meelie, who was acting as Master of Ceremonies. The first speech was from Tessa's dad and was really touching, followed by a lovely and funny poem from Sam. Tess then said some thank yous and the children gave out some gifts and it was onto the hog roast.
Co-ordinator Lee then kept the children quiet with ice cream (which Jack applied the majority of to his white shirt!) whilst the adults enjoyed their deserts downstairs, then it was onto the evening do, where I left them to enjoy the night.
A fantastic wedding at a lovely, unusual venue.
